Creating a 11x17 Sheet with Title Block in Model Space





Assignment 16
(Plotting In Model Space, PDF)
Setup a Title Block Sheet 
Note See Attached 11x17 Template Below
  1. We need to define an area of the drawing that represents the paper that will be printed.
    a.       Start the Rectangle command
    b.      Use Polar Coordinates @165’,93’
    c.       Enter
    2.       Explode the Rectangle
    a.       Offset Right Side by 16’
    3.       Next, Set Up New Text Styles
    a.       The First TEXT Style should be “Title Block 1” and be 3.5’ in Height
    b.      The Second TEXT style should be “Title Block 2” and should be 1.5’ in Height
    4.       Using SINGLE LINE TEXT and TEXT STYLE  “Title Block 1” to create the Client’s Information in the Middle of the Title Block.
    Tip: Read Command Line when Starting Single Line Text> Set Rotation to 90 Degrees
    5.       Create a Drafting Info. Box
    a.       Offset Bottom by 19’
    b.       Trim off Left Side
    c.       Draw a line from the Center of this Shortened Line
    d.      Use the DIVIDE command, Divide by 7
    e.      Turn on OSNAP, ALSO Right Click to get to the OSNAP settings, add NODE.
    f.        Erase the Middle line and you will see these NODES Created by the DIVIDE command.
    g.       Draw Horizontal lines from these nodes to touch both sides of this box.
    6.       Use TEXT Style “Title Block 2” to fill in the information.
    a.       To add the text; Drawn by
    b.      Then Use the Copy command to Copy down into the Second,Six and Seventh Box (Leave box Three Four and Five empty for more revision dates)
    c.       Click on the TEXT to change to; Revision Date, Scale, Page Number.
    7.       Copy One Line of this TEXT to the Top of the Title Block to Add your Name and Class.
    8.       Save Drawing.
